GENERALly Speaking

So I took an excursion into the mind of a general in the armed forces and this is what I came back with.

"I slowly cock my gun
I've done it so much now
It's almost fun
But then I pause to think
Is this right or wrong?
All the lives which is now gone

It feels normal now
Cos I've lived this life for so long
What makes me different from a serial killer?
For both professions, killing is the pillar.
Is the creator angry with me?
Or does he feel my pain?
I say a silent prayer
Then remembering all the killers serial
I hope I don't burn
And peace meets all the souls gone"

Next time you see a member of the armed forces.
Have I convinced you to show some respect?

PS: This is pure fiction

Bane of being human

Do you ever feel like you're just not good enough?, you sometimes feel you're a burden and just not good enough.

This is meant for you

The ground beneath my feet is sinking
And crazy thoughts crowd my thinking
Now I don't know what to do
I'm standing here like a fool
As my thoughts and actions are in constant conflicts
Maybe it's obvious I'm just not fit
For this rigorous task put on my shoulder
Somehow it gets harder as I grow older
The sins I commit
The actions I omit
The people I let down
And my "whites" that turn brown
Then it dawns on me
I'm just human
And that makes me imperfect

Did I capture all the feelings?

Trouble In The Jungle

The lion's roar isn't anymore loud
And the peacock has stopped being proud
Foxes and chickens now live together in caves
And dogs with horses in kennels
Cows now feed on carcass
And the vultures now eat grass
Leopards are suddenly losing their spots
And porcupines are being hunted for sport
Fishes are now warmblooded
And the lizards have lost their scales
The bats now have sight
And frogs are now bilnd
The ants are no longer united
And wolves have stopped moving in packs
Man now walks on all fours
And the tortoise is the new king
With snakes making up its council of chiefs

A piece symbolizing change ,dilemma and abnormalities
It could be read to have a meaning in itself
But It has an hidden message

Can you see the message?

"Vultures now eat grass" is my best line
What is yours?

Bare

Do you ever feel like someone knows all of you?
Does it ever feel like this person knows your core?
And can touch your soul.
Knowing your thoughts by merely looking into your eyes
If yes
You can relate to this

" I stepped in and saw her bare
She was totally unclad
With no effort at concealment
I didn't know whether to go unto her
Or keep my distance
Not in my wildest imaginations
Had I thought to see her in this state
She beckoned to me
And I let my heart lead me
Down ,down and down
Into an abyss
I'm not sure I can find my way out of
With her urging me on
I also stripped away everything
Layer by layer
Till all my parts were unveiled
Then we stood face to face
"N*ked"
With all scales of protection shed
And no defenses left."

Slowly and steadily you let this person get under your skin
And you both share your strengths and fears
It's like you both can reach out and touch each other's soul

I hope you all can relate

Diversity

Flipping through my closet
I was surprised at what I saw
Vintage wears rank highly on my fashion list
But I could manage just two
I always like to feel African
But I've just one native wear
I was surprised to see shirts of different colors.
Green, blue, brown and even orange
Left to me I'd prefer wearing black stuff
But I ask myself
"What would it look like If I wore "all-black" everyday of my life"?
Or probably white all through till the day I die
I answer myself "That'd be too boring and stereotyped"
So I ask you
What would the world look like if we were all black?
Or probably all Nigerians
Or maybe all nations spoke the same language
Variety is the spice of life
If an ordinary human like me could have different colors
And styles in his closet
Then the creator is right to create us all different
Embrace your beauty
Shun racism and discrimination
